Danger Zone

The “Danger Zone” is a panel where we add in-progress features, ideas, and concepts … so you can try them early, and help us with feedback 🙂

Please be careful when using any features here – they aren’t fully tested, and could crash/corrupt your scene. Save often, and make backups!

The following items are currently available here:

Retopology (Reference Model)

This feature enables you to bring a high-poly model into your scene, then sketch your low-poly right onto it. Neat! A great way to retopo, let us know if you try it and have thoughts for making it a full-fledged Polysketch feature 🙂

  1. Connect your headset to your PC
  2. Navigate to “This PC\Quest 2\Internal shared storage\android\data\com.PolysketchLLC.polysketch\Files\SaveFiles”
  3. Place your model (.glb, .gltf, or .obj) into the desired scene folder
  4. Open the scene
  5. Open the Menu, and choose the “Danger Zone” tab
  6. Find the “Retopo” labeled item, and click the “Eye” icon to toggle through Hidden, Transparent, or Solid view mode for the model

Notes:

  • The model is non-interactable
  • If the model has more than one material, it may not work correctly
  • Supported file types are: .glb, .gltf, .obj
